A cars clutch is a mechanical system in your car that helps you to change gear and drive away smoothly. Over time through many gear changes, the parts within the clutch assemble will wear and you may experience some issues. These could be:
- Judder - low frequency vibrations
- Slip - where the engine revs without the car increasing in speed. You may also experience a burning smell.
- Drag - the driver may have problems selecting first gear from neutral.
- Jolt - the car will move suddenly although the clutch pedal is only gradually being released
